The quick hits about me
I enjoy spending time with my active family. When traveling we like to explore and seek new adventures. Especially canoeing or kayaking on a new lake or winding river, and when the water freezes we will throw on the ice skates. Movie night and popcorn in front of the fireplace is another favorite!
Aside from reading and writing, I love to discover new music, usually while doing something creative. I also have a thing for collecting maps. The older the better!
National Geographic, Discovery and the History channel are some of my favorites when watching television.

The Bio
All my life I have loved stories, whether told to me as I sat at my grandfather's knee or the one's I later discovered on the shelves of my school's library. Then in the early 90's I started writing short stories and have spent every year since learning and developing the craft of writing and storytelling.
One night after a long bedtime story, one of my sons challenged me to write a 'real' book. So I borrowed an idea from a writer friend and asked my boys to choose three things to go in the story. They chose a dragon, a tree, and a ruby, and from the seed of that idea, the story of Gladius grew.
I set out to show my sons that if you set your mind to something, it can be done. Once I started writing Gladius, I knew I wanted to create a fantasy adventure series that would encourage boys and girls to read more. Since then I have been on a mini crusade to do just that. If you have any ideas you would like to share with me to advance this movement please feel free to contact me.
